Troy Turkey Trot - November 25th, 2010

The Let Hope Live! Run / Walk for
Seriously Ill Children and Brain Tumor Research

We are thrilled to announce that The Let Hope Live! Run / Walk for Seriously Ill Children will be co-located with the historic Troy NY Turkey Trot.

The same race, however, by signing up here, you are helping us help seriously ill children. Every cent, every dollar, every gift is appreciated.

Please help us maximize this wonderful opportunity to raise awareness, funding and the spirits of children undergoing treatment today! 100% of the funds raised on this day will go to support seriously ill children and their families. Let Hope Live has no administrative overhead and is run solely by volunteers with a passion to save lives and enable hope to uplift children undergoing difficult cancer treatments. To date almost 1/2 million dollars has been raised for research alone through events like this. We KNOW that we can do better. But only with your help.

VICTOR JUHASZ graciously offered to do the turkey logo. Creating as only he could a powerful and meaningful image. Victor Juhasz's turkey has attributes of the American Eagle, Man's passion and even the relief as he crosses the finish line! It is truly brilliant. Amazing accomplishment in the solitary image VICTOR JUHASZ illustrated as only VICTOR JUHASZ could!

The Let Hope Live Foundation is so honored and appreciative of Victor Juhasz generosity and creativity helping us let hope live!

Think of all those who could have had a limited edition of Norman Rockwell tees. Or the countless tees and prints the New Yorker sells. "Victor Juhasz image here is helping Let Hope Live!® Thank you Vic!

Here are just a few easy ways to get involved:

  1. Start a walk team.  Sign up to be a captain, then recruit 10 people to join you. If each person asks for $10 pledges from 10 people they know, you’ll have raised $1,000 in just minutes! (Walking for Let Hope Live doesn’t require payment to USTF). Start here.

  2. Start a run team.  Or just register yourself to run and ask anyone you know touched by serious illness to support your efforts. To run, you’ll pay just $15 in official USATF fees, and anything else you can raise via pledges from friends or family will go to support the foundation. Start here.

  3. Join a race/walk team.  If you don’t know a team captain, that’s OK! Just fill out the form to participate and submit your pledges or payment online.

Join a Race Team.           Join a Walk Team.

Many runner friendly changes have been made in recent years to make it easier for runners to register for the Trot including: mailing entries forms directly to runners, the ability to download entry forms, and direct on-line entry from one’s home computer. All these new ways to register for the trot has brought about the decision by race organizers to eliminate day of race registration.
