Tunnel Of Hope
Tunnel Of Hope Added To Fourth Annual Warrior Walk Benefiting The
Let Hope Live! Andrew Christian Bryce Foundation
Troy, NY – A Tunnel Of Hope is the latest addition to the Fourth Annual Warrior Walk
scheduled to take place on Peebles Island on Saturday, May 27th.  The Walk, scheduled to
begin at 11:00 a.m., benefits the “Let Hope Live!” Andrew Christian Bryce Foundation (a
501c3 non-profit organization).  Founded by Andrew’s mother, Kyle Bryce, the foundation
supports programs that focus on bringing hope to children facing cancer and other life
threatening illnesses.  The Tunnel Of Hope was conceived by and a gift from Lori Borden,
Zachary Chirico a 2006 Warrior Walk medal recipient’s mother.

A portable arc garage she and her husband have transformed into a brilliant rainbow.  White
clouds have been cut out and painted on stakes with quotes from this year’s warriors and
future warrior families communicate the essence of their thoughts. Bryce had asked each
family to come up with a quote to incorporate in this year’s campaign to celebrate what
warriors they are. Zachary’s quote, “There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”  A perfect
way to keep hope alive in all the warriors lives. The clouds will be an essential aspect of all
future walks and Let Hope Live  Warrior events

The 3K Walk will take attendees on a beautiful tour of Peebles Island’s nature trails.
Famous cartoon characters, Spiderman, Dora and Pooh will be on hand, attendees can
participate in a Life Appreciation Scavenger Hunt seeking themes of hope. In addition to
the Tunnel of Hope, a Bouncy Bounce, climbing wall and music by Carmine Dio can be enjoyed
by all as well.

A commemorative limited edition tee-shirt will also be available for purchase for $12-$15,
featuring teddy bears that were submitted by local children in support of the children who
are ill. Included on the shirt as well will be finalist Carlos Grillo’s drawing, which was
chosen to be made into twelve limited edition teddy bears. Carlos is a student at
Knickerbocker school in Troy, NY.

The Andrew Christian Bryce Foundation aka Andrew’s Warriors bestows medals on
“Warriors,” or children battling major illness or injury. Seven “Warriors” age 18 months to
sixteen years will be recognized with the Warrior Medallions at the event. Previous year
warriors will be commended onward with special medallions as well. The foundation
established in 1999 now touches the lives of over 1200 children annually and has risen over
128,000 for pediatric cancer research.
